The pH color readout and any health insights in our app are for wellness observation only and are not a diagnostic device or veterinary advice.
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any medical concerns.

1. What this Policy covers

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you:

Visit our website;
Use the Purrify Smart pH mobile app to record litter color, pH readings, notes, and trends; or
Join our newsletters, waitlists, giveaways, or promotions.

2. Information we collect

A. Information you provide

Contact details (e.g., name or nickname, email).
Pet profile (e.g., cat name, sex, age, weight, personality) — optional.
Health logs you enter (pH value, notes, color records) and photos you choose to capture or import — optional.
Messages you send us, survey responses, or shipping info for promotions.
Marketing consent (if you choose to receive promotional emails).

B. Information collected automatically

Device and app data (model, OS/app version, language).
Basic diagnostics and crash reports.
Website cookies (essential and, if enabled, optional analytics cookies).

C. Sensitive data

We do not collect precise location, government IDs, or payment card data within the app.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve app features (logging, charts, reminders).
Communicate with you about support, updates, and account management.
Perform analytics to improve app stability and performance.
Send marketing or promotional emails only with your consent.
Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse.

You can unsubscribe or withdraw consent anytime via the unsubscribe link in each email or by contacting support@purrifycatlitter.com.

4. Legal bases (where GDPR or similar laws apply)

Performance of contract (providing app services);
Legitimate interests (app security, analytics, improvement);
Consent (for camera/photo access, marketing emails, or optional analytics).

You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Sharing & international transfers

We do not sell or share personal information with advertisers.
We may share limited data only with:

Service providers (hosting, analytics, support) under strict data agreements;
Affiliates within the Purrify group;
Legal authorities when required by law;
A successor company in the event of a merger or asset transfer.

Data may be processed in the U.S., Australia, or the EU under appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

6. Data retention

Account/contact data: kept while your account is active or as legally required.
Health logs/photos: kept until you delete them or your account.
Crash and analytics data: retained 13–26 months (default by provider).

7. Account Deletion (App Store Requirement)

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app.
In the app, go to Cats → Privacy & Data → Delete Account.

When confirmed, your account, pet profiles, and health logs are permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
Email deletion requests (support@purrifycatlitter.com) may take up to 7 days to complete.

8. Your choices and rights

Access, correct, or delete your information anytime.
Withdraw consent for optional marketing or analytics.
Request account deletion in-app or by email.
Where applicable (GDPR, CCPA, Australian Privacy Act), you may also request data portability, correction, or the right to know.

We do not use data for tracking and do not sell or share personal information as defined by privacy regulations.

9. Children & minimum age

Our services are intended for users aged 13 and above.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards such as:

HTTPS encryption in transit,
Limited access control, and
Regular system reviews.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

11. App permissions

Camera / Photos — Used only when you choose to take or select a photo for your cat’s profile.
Photos stay on your device and are not uploaded or shared.
iOS usage strings displayed to users:
- Camera: “We use your camera so you can take photos of your cat to record in its health profile. The photos stay on your device and are never uploaded or shared.”
- Photo Library: “We access your photo library only so you can choose a cat photo for its profile. Photos remain on your device and are not uploaded or shared.”
Notifications (optional) — For gentle reminders about pH tracking or litter care tips.
Network access — For app updates and error reporting.
The app does not request precise location access.

12. Cookies (Website)

We use necessary cookies for site operation.
Analytics cookies (if used) help us understand website traffic.
You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.

13. Email communications

If you opt in, we may send you:

Product news, special offers, and promotions;
Educational or health-related content;
App usage summaries (e.g., weekly cat pH reports).

Each email includes an Unsubscribe link or you can email support@purrifycatlitter.com to stop receiving marketing emails.

Service-related messages (like account confirmation or password reset) are sent regardless of subscription status.

14. International users

By using our app or website, you consent to your information being processed in the countries where we operate (U.S., Australia, EU, etc.) under applicable safeguards.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time.
Updated versions will include a new “Last Updated” date and be posted in the App and on our website.
Significant updates will be notified through the app or by email.
