How long does one bag of Purrify litter last?
For an average indoor adult cat, one bag of Purrify Smart Health-Monitoring Cat Litter can usually last about 3–4 weeks.
Actual usage time will vary with your cat’s size, how often they use the box, and how frequently you scoop and top up the litter.
Can I mix Purrify with other types of cat litter?
Not recommended.
Other litters may have different pH levels or ingredients that interfere with the way Purrify’s health-monitoring formula reacts.
To keep the colour feedback accurate, it’s best to use Purrify on its own.
How quickly will the colour change, and when should I read it?
Purrify is designed for rapid colour response after your cat urinates.
For the clearest result, check the clumps within about 1hours.
If you wait too long, drying, light, heat or microorganisms may gradually shift or fade the colour, making it harder to interpret.
What should I do if the colour shows clearly acidic or alkaline?
Don’t panic, but don’t ignore it either.
First, encourage your cat to drink more fresh water, reduce sudden diet changes, and try to minimise stress. Keep monitoring the colour for 2–3 days.
If the abnormal reading continues, or your cat shows symptoms such as frequent urination, straining, blood in urine, pain, loss of appetite or lethargy, book a vet visit as soon as possible.
Is it safe if my cat eats some of the litter?
Purrify is made from plant-based materials with carefully selected indicators.
If a curious cat licks or swallows a small amount, it is generally considered low-risk.
However, large or repeated ingestion may still cause stomach upset or blockage.
If your cat eats a noticeable amount or shows vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, or discomfort, please contact your veterinarian.
Will the litter itself change my cat’s urine pH?
No. Purrify is designed to react to natural urine pH, not to change it.
The indicator is fixed on the surface of the granules and does not work like a medicine or supplement.
It simply provides a visible colour cue based on the urine that comes into contact with the litter.
In a multi-cat home, how can I tell which cat has the issue?
If you notice abnormal pH readings in a shared litter box, we recommend:
1.Preparing one box per cat if possible, each filled with fresh Purrify litter.
2.Letting each cat use a separate box for a short period while you observe the colour changes.
This simple isolation method helps you identify which cat may need closer attention or a vet check.
Can food, medication or supplements affect the pH reading?
Yes, they can. Diet (especially prescription diets, urinary formulas, very high-protein or very alkaline foods), medications, and certain supplements may all influence urine pH.
That’s why Purrify is designed as a wellness reference tool, not a diagnostic test. Always share your observations and any diet or medication changes with your vet if you have concerns.
